After 5 years of living in the Us, I was finally feeling at "home". I had finally figured out the directions system and identified myself as a Honduran/Utan. I had finally secured a post-graduation job, after the horrid and most feared stage of job-seeking. But then of course, when things feel right and peaceful in one's life change happens. Hubby gave me the news: "We are moving to London!" London, it just sounds so fancy. My family was so exited, specially my father who has for ages believed he was born in the wrong continent. He wears bow ties and suspenders, together with Sherlock Homes-like hats. And when Harry Potter came out, he rushed to the internet and purchased round-like eyeglasses. Yup, he was out of his world knowing one of his girls would open the door for him to visit his platonic native country.
Well here I am, after the longest flight and jet lag ever. My first mistake, the outlets. I had to wait 6 hours at the airport for hubby to arrive from Brazil and guess what? I could not charge one of my electronics. Second mistake, standing on the left side of an escalator . STAY TO THE RIGHT! if your only gonna idle, you use the right side if you're a power walker and cant stand still.
Since I most likely am writing for only myself or maybe some family members, I will not bore my future self with more details and I'll go forth with my first touring day out at the marvelous fearless catastrophic city of London, worry-less about grammar mistakes, comma placements or proof-reading.
This is the Borough Market, if you could not tell by this gigantic post. Its located wherever google maps tells you it is. It is fantastic and worth the visit. Ate some Greek pitas, pulled pork sandwich, duck wraps, Albanian paella (who knew), and some macaroons. Ehh, I did not experience any mind-blowing tickling sensation inside my sophisticated (not) palate, but for its price it was pretty good. Definitely going back to explore more stuff.
Oh those macaroons, people rant about them all the time. I dont really have a sweet tooth, so never really cared to try them. But I'm in London now and apparently had to. Not really impressed, good stuff dont get me wrong. But will I die if I dont eat them ever again, Id say NAY.
I did not get to try this good looking English Muffins, but will go back just to.
Oh yeah, I'd say I want a macaroon after this stud eats it that way! HA! too much?

What do you get when you mix Paraguay + Honduras = The simplest most coolest couple ever found in London. Yeah, I'd say I liked them better than those macaroons.
But yet here I am, eating macaroons. I know, I know--enough with the macaroons already!
People stare at you when taking pictures of, inside of, or beside of the telephone booths. I thought it was a thang around here since in the US when you see one, it is mostly meant for picture-taking, but this is not America and these are not American people, so they stare, in disgust. But did that stop me from getting my telephone shots, HA-nevaaa!
Macaroons are photogenic, what can I say....
This place is beautiful to look at, yeah look at because if I'd like to purchase something in it, I'd have to negotiate one of my perfectly functioning organs. Covent, more like Covet Garden Market.
The End
